The candidate for this position will be reporting to the Workshop Manager. The ideal candidate for this position will have a background in Fabrication / Welding and Machining and also understand the Oil & Gas and Nuclear sector.
The Workshop Foreman will be working alongside the Project team and will be responsible for the manufacturing process within the workshop ensuring all the customers’ needs are met. It envisaged that the ideal candidate for this position will have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and remain calm and organised whilst carrying out work and leading the team.
This opportunity for the Workshop Foreman is for a candidate who is looking to progress in their career. The Workshop Foreman should have experience of working in a fast paced engineering workshop.
Workshop Foreman Responsibilities
Continuously improve the production process
Adhere to timelines ensuring all customer criteria’s are met
Ensuring the team are focused and motivated, leading workshop members to develop their skills.
Operate safely at all times and remain up to date with all modern Health and Safety Procedures.
Workshop Foreman Requirements
Strong engineering background
Ability to Multi task and complete projects simultaneously.
Clear and concise communication skills
Proactive and motivating at all times
Team Leader background
Excellent time keeper.
Ability to fault find and quality inspect completed goods prior to dispatching
Monitor job progression and timings
Check timesheets daily
Issue work to tradesmen and observe the progress is on time, correct and to standard
